Kamala Harris should print out a couple of these charts and stick them in Donnie Dementia's face at the debate, then tell him to stick them up his fat ass.

And while that may persuade a few undecided voters in the middle, it still won't move the needle with any of the paranoid members of the MAGA-cult who, thanks to Kellyanne Conway, believe their own set of "alternate facts" which are completely untethered to the truth.

When you read the source, it indicates the rates are based on areas that have continuously reported these crimes. This is highly credible and a common approach when analyzing social determinants of health, crime, and other difficult to track issues. Re: “Cigarette smoking hit an 80-year low among U.S. Adults.” - has anyone noticed a tremendous increase in people smoking on TV? It seems most of the most recent shows on Netflix/Amazon/Etc. have characters smoke up a storm, sometimes independent of whatever character they're trying to establish with the portrayal. As opposed to the previous two or three decades when smoking pretty much disappeared from Hollywood productions...
