Six-Charts Sunday (#36) - Six Cartoons Sunday
“If we couldn't laugh we would all go insane.” — Jimmy Buffet
Taking a break this week from the scary charts forecasting democratic decline, debt crises, recession & war. I’ve enjoyed the New Yorker for decades, and while its politics certainly lean left, the writing is excellent & cartoons are often amazing (I clip and save them, yes with a scissors). Here’s six of my favorites relevant to politics from the past decade:
Two Americas. February 13, 2020 issue
No atheists in a foxhole. July 31, 2017 issue.
War on Christmas? December 18, 2017 issue
Fair & balanced? January 30, 2017.
Unburdened by what has been. February 22, 2016 issue
Behind every great man. (link)

“All Americans owe Chris Liddell a debt of gratitude for his unsung heroics during the 2020 transition – the most dangerous in modern history,” wrote the great Josh Bolten. Chris wrote a great book to guide future Presidential transitions.
Thank you - a welcome tonic this morning. Comedians should be having a field day with all the ripe material that abounds these days!
